Don’t Just Move. Move Well.

So, it’s just baby exercises?

Babies and Adults benefit massively from DNS. Not because they are moving like a baby, but because the positions help you more effectively recruit muscles, with consideration of the entire kinetic chain. The position and stabilization of your foot can absolutely affect the quality of control at the knee, hip, trunk, and even upper extremity.

How does it work?

DNS teaches us there are 3 levels of motor control (Spinal cord, Brainstem, and Cortical). The spinal cord and brainstem are not under conscious control, but they are the pathways that teach us to move during our first years of life. Later in life, we learn to consciously control movement (not always for the better).

Why DNS?

Your nervous system is responsible for collecting and processing massive amounts of information before selecting an appropriate response. Most of this (or all) should be done subconsciously and automatically. DNS gives us a way to automate a high quality of movement control.
